Data Science Workshop: Artificial Intelligence in Debate

After a week filled with courses and deep dives into the fields of Data Science, the event that marked the conclusion of activities was the Data Science Workshop. Organized by the LNCC/DEXL Laboratory in collaboration with the CEFET-RJ/DAL Laboratory, the event brought together specialists, researchers, and students.

Professor Mariza Ferro, from UFF/IC, sparked discussions on responsibility in Artificial Intelligence, while Professor Marco Antonio Casanova, from PUC-Rio/DI, addressed mapping in the integration between natural language and SQL, exploring the potential of Large Language Models (LLMs) for this purpose.

In addition to keynote presentations, the Workshop also featured talks by Master's, PhD, and Postdoctoral students, who showcased their ongoing research. Notable presentations included those by Jessica Souza and Fabio Gregorio from CEFET-RJ, as well as Douglas Ericson de Oliveira and Claudio Daniel T. de Barros from LNCC.

The event, integrated into the LNCC Artificial Intelligence Institute project, is supported by the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation (MCTI), reinforcing the shared commitment to advancing studies in this frontier of knowledge.
