The Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MCTI) plays a crucial role in supporting scientific and technological advancement in Brazil, establishing international partnerships and promoting scientific exchange.
The LNCC Artificial Intelligence Institute in collaboration with the National Scientific Computing Laboratory (LNCC) is a proposal to reinforce these activities. The Institute will be responsible for identifying the needs of researchers and the scientific community in the area of artificial intelligence, in addition to organizing events, training and facilitating Brazil's participation in international initiatives.
Mission
Promote the advancement of artificial intelligence in Brazil through strategic partnerships.
Vission
Be recognized nationally and internationally as a center of excellence in artificial intelligence research.
Values
Commitment to scientific excellence, innovation, collaboration, ethics, diversity and national development.
The LNCC Artificial Intelligence Institute, in partnership with MCTI, has embarked on a journey of collaboration and engagement with the Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence (GPAI). This international initiative brings together researchers, industry, civil society, government and international institutions to boost technological development and its applications in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Our participation in GPAI involves both online and in-person activities at the organization's meetings. We are committed not only to contributing to the already established working groups, but also to expanding the dialogue to involve the Brazilian scientific community. In this way, we seek to bring GPAI's discussions and decisions to the national scene, promoting a valuable exchange of knowledge and perspectives.
