The Institute of Artificial Intelligence (IIA) at the National Laboratory for Scientific Computing (LNCC-MCTI) and the Global Partnership on AI (GPAI), incorporated into the OECD, are leading an innovative study aimed at uncovering the impacts of Generative Artificial Intelligence on the job market. The research initially focuses on the following sectors: Sales, Customer Service, Graphic Design/Photography, Journalism/Content Production, and Software Development/Coding. In a rapidly evolving digital landscape, Generative AI emerges as a disruptive technology with the potential to profoundly reshape work relationships. Given this scenario, this in-depth research project seeks to critically analyze how the implementation of AI may affect both workers and work environments. The goal of this initiative is to capture the perception of workers and employers regarding the impact of Generative AI in their respective fields. Since AI can be used as a tool to enhance workers' skills and prepare them for new market demands, the research focuses on various dimensions, including workforce training and adaptation, improvements in job quality, increased inclusion and diversity, and the implementation of education and training practices.
