1st International Olympiad in Artificial Intelligence (IOAI 2024)

The International Olympiad in Artificial Intelligence (IOAI) 2024, held in Burgas, Bulgaria, brings together high school students from different countries to compete in challenges involving Artificial Intelligence, data science, and computational problem solving. The olympiad provides a global platform for young talents to demonstrate their skills, exchange knowledge, and engage with one of the fastest-growing technological fields in the world.

The competition includes theoretical and practical challenges that assess participants’ understanding of fundamental AI concepts, including machine learning, data analysis, logical reasoning, and algorithmic thinking. Through these activities, IOAI promotes both academic excellence and international collaboration among students interested in emerging technologies.

For the 2024 edition, the Brazilian team is formed through the identification of students with outstanding performance in national scientific olympiads related to logical reasoning, computing, and language.

The Artificial Intelligence Institute of LNCC (IIA-LNCC) plays an important role in supporting Brazil’s participation in IOAI, contributing to the coordination, preparation, and organization of the Brazilian delegation. This involvement reinforces the institute’s commitment to promoting education, research, and talent development in Artificial Intelligence.
