Artificial Intelligence Hackathon (HKIA2025)

The Artificial Intelligence Institute of LNCC (IIA-LNCC) announces its support for the Artificial Intelligence Hackathon for Public Health (HKIA2025), which will take place from October 10 to 12. The event, an initiative of the Coppe/UFRJ Business Incubator and Cietec, will feature a key resource: the Santos Dumont supercomputer, the most powerful in Latin America, made available by the IIA-LNCC to participants.

The hackathon aims to mobilize talent from universities and startups to develop innovative and impactful solutions for the challenges of Brazil’s Unified Health System (SUS). Teams will harness the computational power of Santos Dumont to work with large volumes of data, including Rio de Janeiro’s health Data Lake, focusing on areas such as predictive analytics, intelligent resource management, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).

Event Highlights:
- Use of the Santos Dumont Supercomputer: High-performance capacity for complex modeling and hands-on HPC experience for participants.
- Focus on Real Data: Exploration of the health Data Lake for practical solutions, such as demand forecasting and resource allocation.
- Open Source: All solutions will be released as open-source code, strengthening the healthcare innovation ecosystem.
- nTalent Development: A unique opportunity for participants to gain experience with cutting-edge tools and supercomputing.
