AI for Public Good, for Singapore, and for the World

In 2023, Singapore launched its National AI Strategy 2.0 (NAIS 2.0). Committed to going beyond merely adopting technology, Singapore aspires to be at the forefront - setting the pace, driving innovation, and shaping global conversations on technology, including AI.

In 2019, the first National AI Strategy outlined plans to deepen AI adoption to transform the country’s economy. The initial investment in AI led to the creation of approximately 150 teams dedicated to research and development, as well as 900 startups exploring new ideas with AI. Since then, significant advancements in AI have been made, resulting in the development of new products, enhanced capabilities, and transformative interactions.
