Artificial Intelligence: towards structuring research for the acceleration of AI in France
View Original Article Mar, 28 2024
The AI Priority Research Program and Equipment (PEPR), led by INRIA,
CEA and CNRS and funded by France 2030, represents a significant step
towards France's acceleration in the field of artificial intelligence
(AI). With a substantial budget of 73 million euros over six years, PEPR
aims to structure research and boost the development of AI in three
major areas of investigation.
These areas likely cover a variety of topics essential to advancing AI,
such as machine learning, computer vision, natural language processing,
robotics, and AI ethics. By focusing resources and efforts in these key
areas, France is positioning itself to become a global leader in the
development and application of AI.
