Public Call 2025: Mapping of Artificial Intelligence Research Groups

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming the world, driving innovation in areas such as healthcare, education, the environment, industry, and more. To strengthen AI development in Brazil and position the country as a key player in this global landscape, the Artificial Intelligence Institute of the National Laboratory for Scientific Computing (IIA-LNCC), in partnership with the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MCTI), is launching a public call to map and register AI research groups.

In 2024, during its first year of operation, the Artificial Intelligence Institute of the National Laboratory for Scientific Computing (IIA-LNCC) mapped 85 AI research groups, covering various fields of knowledge. In addition, the IIA-LNCC shared numerous opportunities and strategic information with the scientific community, strengthening the network of AI researchers in Brazil.

Our goal is clear: to enhance and connect research groups, creating a collaborative ecosystem that boosts participation in national and international activities and initiatives. We aim to connect talent, resources, and ideas to make Brazil a global reference in Artificial Intelligence.
