Public Call: Mapping and Registration of Artificial Intelligence Research Groups

Artificial intelligence has been developing at an impressive pace, with applications spanning various fields of science, society, and industry. The main drivers of this development are found abroad, fueled by substantial public and private funding.

The Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation (MCTI) carries out initiatives to support scientific and technological development within the Brazilian academic community. These initiatives include establishing international partnerships, promoting Brazilian participation in scientific exchange programs between national and international institutions, and more.

To support these efforts, the National Laboratory for Scientific Computing (LNCC), in collaboration with MCTI, through the newly created Artificial Intelligence Institute (IIA-LNCC), will promote initiatives in three main areas:
(i) Identifying researchers and the scientific community’s needs in artificial intelligence;
(ii) Organizing meetings, training sessions, and technical visits; and
(iii) Structuring Brazil’s participation in international initiatives.

Objective

Artificial Intelligence is a constantly evolving field that encompasses a wide range of disciplines and applications. We recognize the importance of connecting and strengthening the network of researchers and research groups to drive scientific and technological progress.

The Artificial Intelligence Institute (IIA-LNCC) is launching a public call to map and register Artificial Intelligence (AI) research groups, aiming to foster collaboration and joint actions between researchers and institutions.
